Foyen Advokatfirma has advised the Municipality of Uppsala on Uppsala Spårväg (Uppsala Tram), currently one of Sweden's largest infrastructure investments. The municipality has now signed the order letter ("beställningsskrivelse") with NYAB-AZVI AB for Phase 2 – the project's implementation phase – meaning that work is moving from design and costing into production.

Uppsala Spårväg is being carried out as a partnering contract ("samverkansentreprenad"), a form of collaboration in which the client and the contractor work together throughout the project to jointly manage risk, finances, and the schedule. Foyen has advised the Municipality of Uppsala from contract execution following award through to the transition into Phase 2, the project's implementation phase.

Foyen's team on the engagement has comprised lead partner John Hane, together with lawyers Helena Dahlberg and Fanny Olsen Lombach.

The engagement underscores Foyen's position as a leading advisor in construction and infrastructure law, with particular expertise in construction law and complex partnering models.
